Karl Schmidt Architecture, PLLC was established in Seattle in 2008. The primary focus of the office is on custom single-family residential both new and remodeled. A Northwest native, Karl Schmidt received his professional degree(s) from Washington State University in 1996 and upon graduation received the Henry Adams certificate for excellence in the study of architecture from the American Institute of Architects. He also studied abroad in Denmark through Denmark International Study program (DIS). Following his studies, he went on to work for several acclaimed firms in the Seattle area including Olson Sundberg (Olson|Kundig), Callison and Tyler Engle Architects. His work has been published in Seattle Homes and Lifestyles Magazine and the online version of Dwell Magazine.

Karl Schmidt is a registered architect in the State of Washington and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He lives in Madison Park with his wife and two small children.
